Nothing Will Stop Us From Fighting Timeshare Fraud
In Greek mythology, Ariadne helps Theseus escape the Minotaur. Ariadne does this by giving Theseus a red thread. Theseus uses the red thread to track where he goes in the maze. If you feel like you’re trying to escape the Minotaur of timeshare fraud, let us be your Ariadne and more. Rather than giving you red thread to help you figure out of the maze yourself, we’ll guide you out of the maze ourselves and fight the Minotaur for you. At Wesley Financial Group, lawsuit or otherwise, we won’t stop fighting for our clients.
Overwhelmed with Timeshare Fraud: What to Do?
Being overwhelmed can be exasperating. When you’re overwhelmed, it can be hard to concentrate. Every little decision can become a big decision. It’s hard to focus, and get down to business. It’s even harder when things go wrong. In timeshare fraud, you can feel like you’ve been cheated. It can be very hurtful, and it can take a personal toll on you.
In an article written by Dr. Norman Rosenthal, he takes a look at what we can do when things go wrong. He begins, “As a therapist, I am always thinking about adversity. After all, why would clients come to me (or any other therapist, for that matter) were they not in some type of trouble? But recently I have had occasion to turn that lens inward and consider the adversities that have occurred in my own life and the lives of people I have encountered along the way. As I reviewed the important lessons learned in my own life, it occurred to me that I learned most when things have gone wrong – and that this is probably a general rule. We have evolved so as to learn best from misfortune, to prevent it from happening again, thereby improving our chances for survival. Nietzsche probably put it best when he said, “What doesn’t kill you makes you stronger.”” (Rosenthal, 2013).
Words of Wisdom
Dr. Rosenthal continues by expounding upon some words of wisdom from his book “The Gift of Adversity”. He states, “Here are some ideas taken from the book, that I illustrate with stories and buttress with research. Adversity comes in three forms: First, there is plain bad luck – such as an inherited illness, an unavoidable loss or a bolt out of the blue. Second, come the results of poor decisions or errors in judgment – especially hard to take since the pain is usually compounded by guilt and shame. Finally, there is the self-imposed adversity that we see in people who strive for the highest levels of excellence or embark on The Hero’s Journey.
Severe adversity is accompanied by predictable psychological changes. There is a sense of disorientation because the world has changed. Emotional upheaval is common – sadness, anxiety, and despair may tangle together leading to a state of confusion. Your physiology is disrupted – sleeping, eating, and circadian rhythms may go haywire. How can you best deal with it?” (Rosenthal, 2013). We can help you beat timeshare fraud at Wesley Financial Group. Lawsuits won’t chase us away from helping our clients. Our President & CEO, Chuck McDowell was taken to court when he stood up against timeshare giants. He won and is our leader today at Wesley Financial Group. Lawsuits and more didn’t scare him away from doing what was right.
Dr. Rosenthal continues to give more words of wisdom on how to deal emotionally when things go wrong. Below are some of them. These may be useful for victims of timeshare fraud.
“Accept that the adversity has occurred.”
Dr. Rosenthal’s first piece of wisdom reminds us to accept what has happened. You can’t change the fact that you were duped in a timeshare. It happened. But you can think about what you are going to do now that it has occurred. Come to us to beat timeshare fraud at Wesley Financial Group. Lawsuit or otherwise doesn’t frighten us from doing what is right for our clients. Move forward by letting us fight your battle for you.
“Proportion your response according to the adversity.”
This is the next suggestion by Dr. Rosenthal. “This requires analyzing the situation and being measured in dealing with it.” (Rosenthal, 2013). Here, again we can be reminded that if you are fighting timeshare fraud, you can get help in doing so. You don’t have to do it alone. As a result, you can lighten the burden. You don’t have to do the heavy lighting. That’s what we do at Wesley Financial Group. We care about our clients. You can lessen your burden by handing it to us.
“Reframe the problem.”
Dr. Rosenthal continues, “This is where you may start to see the phoenix beginning to rise from the ashes. It may take a while – days, months or even years – depending on the adversity – but as you recover from the blow, gifts can be found in the rubble… Research shows that people who have had some adversity are more resilient than those that have been untroubled, lending credence to the expression that one cannot learn to become a master sailor on calm seas.” (Rosenthal, 2013). One way to reframe your timeshare problem is to contact us at Wesley Financial.
